CRN 73m Cloud 9 Delivered to Owner
Christened in January during a suitably colorful launch ceremony at the CRN shipyard in Ancona, Italy the stunning 242’ (73m) MY Cloud 9 has now been handed over to her owner and is currently cruising the Mediterranean. An eye-catching megayacht, Cloud 9’s clean exterior lines were drawn by long-term collaborators, the Zuccon International Project studio, who incorporated subtle design details in the superstructure and the elegant aesthetics.
CRN’s Italian Expertise
Built on an engineering platform and naval architecture from CRN’s in-house team Cloud 9 boasts a beam of 44’ 3” (13.5m) and five expansive decks plus a sub deck. The vessel is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516C 2,000 kW @1600 rpm engines, delivering a maximum speed of 16.5-knots and a cruising speed of 15-knots. Distinctive open-air areas such as the private deck forward of the master suite and the large beach club with extended platform at sea level have been conceived to offer maximum scope for alfresco enjoyment.
Interiors by Winch Design
The exterior spaces and entire interior–spread over more than 100,000sqft (10,000sqm)–are designed by the London-based studio of Winch Design while Burgess acted as Owner’s Representatives throughout the project. The interior is reportedly enriched by fine design elements that magnificently decorate all the yacht’s deck levels, including the accommodation for up to 16 guests–while on charter through Burgess who have been appointed worldwide Central Agents however, guest capacity will be limited to 12 as per MCA rulings.
Accommodation is divided between a master suite, VIP suite and six guest cabins. Guests are served and operations by 22 crew members in 13 cabins, plus berths for four supernumerary staff in two cabins.
